Immediate Help
If you are currently experiencing an emergency and need immediate help, call:
Fisher College Police Department Emergency Line: 617-236-8888
Boston Police Emergency: 911
Boston Sexual Assault Unit: 617-343-4400
Fisher College encourages victims of sexual assault to report the incident immediately and seek both police and medical assistance. Seeking police or medical assistance does not obligate an individual to make a complaint or take further action. However, seeking medical help and gathering evidence allows victims to preserve a wide range of options available to them. The College will assist any community member in getting to a safe place, provide transportation for medical help, and if requested, contact law enforcement.
For 24/7 help, contact the Fisher College Police Department at 617-236-8888.
You can also contact the Title IX Coordinator at 617-236-5409 or titleIX@fisher.edu.
Medical Treatment
Victims of sexual assault may seek medical care without contacting or reporting the incident to the police. Victims have 120 hours from the time of the assault to undergo a medical exam and evidence collection.
SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) are certified nurses who are specifically trained to perform exams and collect forensic evidence from sexual assault survivors. You may receive free care and do not have to use your insurance. Many hospitals are SANE sites, including those in close proximity to Fisher College.
