Reporting A Crime

Students, faculty, staff and guests are encouraged to report all crimes and public safety related incidents to the Fisher College Police Department in a timely manner.

For medical, police or fire emergencies, members of the Fisher College Community should first contact 911 and then contact Campus Police at (617) 236-8888.

Dispatchers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer your call.
When calling for either emergency or non-emergency service, be prepared to:

  • Clearly identify yourself
  • State where you are calling from
  • State briefly the nature of your call
  • If possible, stay on the line unless otherwise advised by the dispatcher. If assistance is required from off campus, the dispatcher will summon the appropriate police, fire and/or medical service.

Text A Tip

The Fisher College Police Department uses tip411, an internet based tool that enables the Fisher College Community to text message anonymous tips to campus police, and lets the police respond back creating a two-way anonymous chat.  To text a tip to Campus Police, just text “FISHER” and your crime tip message to 847411 (tip411).  The thread will remain open indefinitely until the caller texts the word “STOP.”

Once the crime tip is sent, you will receive a message from Citizen Observer indicating the message has been forwarded to the Fisher College Police Department.  The Fisher College Police Department can respond to the sender to ask for additional information.  If the sender does not want any further contact, the sender can push “stop” or “end” on their phone and the contact between the citizen and the Police Department ends.  Please note that text message charges may apply to your account depending on the terms of service.
