Refunds and Tuition Insurance

Refunds

Title IV Credit Balances
A Title IV credit balance occurs whenever the amount of Title IV funds credited to a student's account exceeds the amount assessed the student for allowable charges associated with that payment period.  In those cases, a refund will be made available to students within 14 days of disbursement.  You may request your refund by completing the refund request form and submitting it to the Bursar's Office for processing.  Refunds are only issued for actual credit balances and not based on pending financial aid.

To apply your Title IV credit balance to future charges within the academic year, you need to fill out and return the credit balance authorization form (refund waiver) to the Bursar’s Office.  Please complete, sign and date this form prior to submission.  This refund waiver will remain in effect until the end of the academic year, unless rescinded per request.  All credit balances will automatically be refunded at the end of each academic year.

Non-Title IV Credit Balances

Credit balances not created by Title IV financial aid may be refunded at any time.  Please download and complete the refund request form to initiate your refund

Email the completed refund request form to bursar@fisher.edu

Undergraduate and graduate students may waive the Student Health Insurance Plan by submitting an online waiver form confirming comparable coverage by the deadline.  An insurance waiver must be completed at the start of each academic year. Contact Health Services with any questions.

If your financial aid exceeds your tuition and fees, you may be eligible for a refund.  Credit balances created by Title IV financial aid are refunded within fourteen (14) calendar days after disbursement.

BankMobile will return the funds via the student’s preferred choice (Deposit to an Existing Account, Deposit to a BankMobile Vibe Checking Account, Paper Check Delivered by USPS).

Tuition Insurance

Consider tuition insurance to supplement Fisher College's current refund policy.  Fisher College is partnered with Liberty Mutual to make tuition insurance available to all of our students.  Tuition insurance protects your investment in the event you need to withdraw at any point during the semester due to an illness, accident, or mental health condition.  This coverage expands upon the current refund policy by ensuring reimbursement for tuition, housing, and other payments if your withdrawal results from any of the covered medical reasons.

Please note: You must purchase a policy prior to the first day of classes.
