Skill Building Badge Program

In order to enhance workplace readiness and skill development, Fisher College offers a Skill Building Badge Program to provide students an opportunity to develop skills to make them more competitive and career-ready candidates post-graduation.

Badges are offered in six areas: Communication, Community Service, Career Readiness and Professionalism, Leadership, Visual and Performing Arts, and Technology for the 21st Century Workplace. Learn more about them below.

To demonstrate completion and competency in one or more of these areas, students will provide supporting documentation when needed to demonstrate completion of the requirements for the badge or badges they earn.

Will badges look good to future employers?

Employers of recent college graduates overwhelmingly report that graduates believe their skills and readiness for the world of work to be more advanced than their employers ratings in those areas. For example, fewer than 3 in 10 employers think that recent college graduates are well prepared in critical thinking and oral/written communication skills. (American Association of Colleges and Universities 2015) Fisher's Skill Building Badge Program provides students with an opportunity to develop those skills that will make them more competitive and career-ready candidates post-graduation.
