Fisher College Awarded $25k Grant to Enhance Student Success

(Boston, Mass., April 2026) - Fisher College, a private non-profit college in Back Bay Boston, has been awarded a $25,000 grant to implement the SLATE Student Success platform through the Presidential Grant Program from the Davis Educational Foundation. The Davis Grant Program was founded in 2015 to support higher education leading in affordability and financial sustainability.

SLATE Student Success is a higher education platform designed for professor communication and student support. The system supports professor appointment scheduling, automatic student progress tracking, and direct communication with student service offices. These tools aim to improve Fisher student engagement and academic performance while providing easier communication with student retention and support faculty.

The Davis funding supports training and technical assistance fees for Carnegie Dartlet LLC, a longtime Fisher digital marketing partner, who will collaborate with Fisher on the implementation, staff development, and integration of the SLATE Student Success program for the Academic and Retention offices. The program is set to begin in May 2026, with Fisher assuming full ownership by May 2027.

Fisher College remains committed to expanding access to the tools and resources that empower student success. “This investment allows us to take a step forward in how we support and engage our students,” said Fisher College President Steven Rich. “Long term success requires utilizing tools available to communicate and engage with students.”

By integrating SLATE Student Success, Fisher aims to strengthen its focus on retention, engagement, and personalized support to ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
