Meet Adriel Rodriguez – BS in Computer Science with a concentration in Cyber Security ’23 – Adriel is nothing if not persistent. His first year at college was very challenging because he had a difficult time balancing his full-time job with being a full-time student.

Spending her childhood between Mexico and the U.S., Carla experienced prejudices that many POC face early on. This shook her confidence for a time, but coming to Fisher changed her mindset. Now she’s taking action and educating others through her work with BLSA.

Meet Cassondra '22

 After attending college in NJ and majoring in Chemistry, Cassondra realized that the passion just wasn’t there. So she made the decision to come back home to Boston and take a semester off. During this time she was exposed to the computer science industry through her father and brother and realized that problem solving and coding is her real passion.

Meet Patricia '21

From a very young age, Patricia decided that home is wherever her passport and bag decided to take her.  After leaving her home in Romania, Patricia moved to Boston in order to attend Fisher College. And in 2019 she decided to join the Spring Semester at Sea program where she spent the entire semester on a ship sailing to 11 different countries while studying and doing coursework.  “Semester at Sea is home. It’s culture, learning, family, and a lifetime of experiences and memories.

Meet Joel '22

Joel was born and raised in Cameroon, moved to the U.S. at the age of 14, and after living in Louisiana for 5 years he made the decision to go to college in Boston. All of these experiences have shaped Joel into the person he is today.  "I worked hard to learn English, worked harder to get to school, and I know that working hard is what is going to get me to where I want to be and will help me to fulfill my American dream.”
