Last week Fisher Teaparty qualified for the Queen City Clash, a LAN event at the University of Cincinnati on November 9-10, keep an eye on our socials to get live updates from the event! We also had 4 teams (Valorant, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Overwatch, and Rocket League) and Aabid 'Abbs' Chaudhry (Street Fighter 6) who qualified for the CECC regional and made the top 8 in the region!  

However, this week Fisher Esports enters week 5 of collegiate competitions, Fisher Counter Strike takes a trip to Philadelphia, Pennslyvania to attend Fragadelphia Tap 2 and won first place alongside winning $5,500! We also have other competitions such as the Overwatch Collegiate Homecoming, and other matches in other leagues like NECC, ECAC, and more!

Fisher College Esports is entering its third year as a program, aiming to build on the success of its previous season. Last semester, they claimed victories in several tournaments, and they’re looking to continue that momentum this year. With new talent joining the roster, expectations are high, and the official team announcements are set for later this week. Fisher Esports has approximately 32 teams, with 16 competing at the varsity level. 

Fisher Esports has been actively recruiting new talent, especially as the Fall semester begins. Recently, they announced the addition of one of the world's top Street Fighter 6 players, Saul Leonardo Mena known as 'MenaRD'  or “The Bull”, and also represents Red Bull Esports. On the Counter-Strike front, Fisher Esports picked up Milan "CrePoW" Libbrecht from Belgium. Crepow is a top-ranked player in the European CS scene and is expected to be a top competitor in collegiate Counter-Strike this year. We also picked up another Super Smash Bros Ultimate player known as Benjamin “Loaf” Rust, who is ranked 79th on the LumiRank 2023 North America Top 200.  Another new addition on the Call of Duty front, Carson "Brack" Newberry who was on FaZe Black (Call of Duty Challenger Team). We are further strengthening Fisher's lineup for the upcoming competitions. 

As we enter the Fall semester, there are several teams to look out for from Fisher Esports this season. Some of the teams to look out for are our Counter-Strike team, Fisher Valorant - Navy, Fisher Overwatch - Wisps, Super Smash Bros Ultimate players Loaf and Sonix, League of Legends, alongside Fisher Call of Duty - Falcons, and Street Fighter player MenaRD.
