Commencement Highlights

Below is the video of the Fisher College Commencement that took place at the Back Bay Events Center on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Carolina and Pedro Martínez were the commencement speakers, a powerhouse couple whose achievements and shared dedication to philanthropy have left a lasting impact.

Carolina Martínez is a seasoned communicator and advocate, holding a degree from Boston College and a Master’s from the University of Miami. She began her career as a sports journalist for ESPN and later served as a news anchor for Telemundo. A passionate writer, she is a weekly columnist for the Dominican newspaper Listín Diario with her acclaimed column, “Mujeres de Grandes Ligas” (“Big League Women”), which inspired her 2018 book of the same name. Born into a baseball family, she brings deep insight into the challenges faced by athletes and has dedicated over a decade to uplifting stories of values and integrity in sports. She is also the president of the Pedro Martínez Foundation, which has impacted more than 100,000 children and families in the Dominican Republic and the U.S. through programs in education, the arts, and sports.

Pedro Martínez is one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball history: a three-time Cy Young Award winner, World Series Champion, and Hall of Fame inductee. Known for his fierce determination on the mound, he is also a five-time Emmy Award-winning TV analyst for MLB Network and Turner Sports. In addition to broadcasting, he consults for organizations like the Boston Red Sox and speaks globally on leadership, perseverance, and giving back.

Together, Carolina and Pedro Martínez have spent over two decades transforming lives, proving that true greatness lies in uplifting others.

On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Fisher College proudly celebrated the accomplishments of its graduate class of 2025. Watch as these dedicated students received their well-deserved degrees with friends and family.

Below is the video of the Fisher College Commencement that took place at the Back Bay Events Center on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Salvatore Lupoli was commencement speaker and shared his Boston success story. 
  
From his humble beginnings living in a small apartment in East Boston, Lupoli forged his path in college by playing football for Northeastern University. During his student years, he honed his skills in the culinary arts while working in various restaurants in the historic North End, mastering the craft of pizza making. 

In 1990, Lupoli’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish the first Sal’s Pizza outlet in Salem, New Hampshire. Sal’s Pizza rapidly burgeoned into one of the nation’s premier retail franchise and wholesale enterprises. Presently, with over 100 locations across New England and products available in more than 2,000 schools and grocery stores, Sal’s Pizza proudly holds the distinction of being the official pizza provider for the Boston Red Sox.

Beyond pizza, Lupoli founded The Lupoli Companies, a commercial real estate firm lauded by the Boston Business Journal as one of Massachusetts’ foremost entities in the sector. Through innovative real estate projects, particularly in gateway cities across Massachusetts, Lupoli revitalizes and transforms public spaces. Noteworthy among his endeavors is the acclaimed Riverwalk in Lawrence, a Live/Work/Play complex spanning 40 acres within a repurposed mill precinct. Iconic developments such as the Riverwalk Innovation District in Haverhill and Thorndike Exchange in Lowell speak to Lupoli’s visionary leadership and commitment to urban revitalization.
