Accepted Students Day is In-Person for First Time in 3 Years

A group of high school seniors approach Beacon Street and look around, some of them have only seen pictures online and are visiting Fisher College’s campus for the very first time. To their right, they see the Boston Public Garden. To their left, they see Boston’s famous Newbury Street. They’re here for Fisher College’s Annual Accepted Students Day to decide if Fisher will be home for the next four years.

This spring, for the first time since 2019, Accepted Student’s Day will finally be held in-person instead of online. While the virtual events were a great way to keep students, faculty, and staff safe during a global pandemic, there’s nothing quite as exciting as meeting new falcons and watching them explore the campus.

“It's been a long few years for everyone, especially students, so we are thrilled to have them here on campus for this event again. The entirety of the Fisher Community is excited to welcome them - students, faculty and staff alike! We're looking forward to a great day,” said Chelsea Scarpati, Manager of Admissions Operations at Fisher College.

Here's a gem from Accepted Student's Day 2019 - The last time Fisher held the event in-person!

Accepted Students Day will take place on Sunday April 3, 2022 and Future Falcons will have the chance to speak with faculty members, tour the campus, residence halls and classrooms, and meet current students. In addition, they will share these experiences with their future classmates and have a chance to start building some bonds even before classes start in September.

“Future Falcons get to meet one another and really understand the sense of community they will feel when they arrive here this fall. It is a great day for them to learn about their next step after graduation, not just academically but also beginning to get comfortable in their future home of the next four years,” said Scarpati.

And in order to help students forge these connections more organically and leave with fun memories, there will be activities, including a photo booth where falcons can take pictures with new friends and keep mementos from the day. (Thank you to Spike Events for making this possible with their Classic Photo Booth.)
