Graduate courses are offered in three, 12-week semesters (fall, winter, spring) and one 8-week term (July). Undergraduate courses are offered in six, 8-week terms beginning in September, November, January, March, May and July. Additional online intersession terms are available in January, May and July. 

All GPS courses utilize Blackboard. Online courses utilize Blackboard Collaborate, and require students to have a webcam and headset with microphone.

RHIA Exam Prep Course

RHIA Examination Prep Course

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)

This online, 8-week RHIA exam preparation course is designed as a comprehensive review of health information administration, regulations and standards in preparation for the RHIA national credentialing examination through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Additional topics covered include test-taking tips, preparing quality resumes and cover letters, and honing job interview skills to secure employment in the healthcare industry.

Participants will be able to:

  • Apply entry-level RHIA curriculum competencies through practice mock examinations that are focused on the RHIA examination domains.
  • Develop a study plan and apply test-taking techniques to prepare for the credential examination.
  • Create a resume and cover letter to apply for future job positions. Develop strategies to prepare for job interviews.
  • Work with a course instructor in Blackboard and Collaborate as students completing the online review

Cost: $500 ($250 to retake entire prep course)
