Applying for Aid
Beginning for the 2024-2025 aid year, students and families can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) when it is released on December 31, 2023.
For the current 2023-2024 aid year, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available now.
The FAFSA will determine your eligibility for need based aid at Fisher College. While the process may seem overwhelming, the Office of Financial Aid is here to assist you along the way!
To get started, follow these simple steps:
- Establish a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID)
Students, parents, and borrowers are required to use an FSA ID, which requires a username and password, to access certain U.S. Department of Education websites, including the FAFSA. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents. If you don't already have an FSA ID and password, you will need to create one before completing your FAFSA.
To create your FSA ID, go to studentaid.gov. Remember, both the student and the student's parent (if applicable) must each have an FSA ID.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The FAFSA is used to apply for all need based aid at Fisher College. Need-based financial aid comes from many sources including federal, state and institutional funding and can include grants, student loans and work study. To complete the FAFSA online, go to studentaid.gov and log in with your FSA ID.
To complete your FAFSA, you will use your federal tax information from the previous year. For the 2023-2024 academic year, please use your tax information from 2021. As a way to simplify and streamline this process, please utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Tool within the FAFSA which will transfer your tax information for you.
You will need the Fisher College Federal School Code: 002150
