Human Resource Management Department
Dr. Jack Roche has been in the personnel/human resources field for over 40 years, managing the personnel/human resource function for a number of companies in a broad range of industries including commodities, publishing, law, manufacturing, and academia. He was also president of two human resource consulting firms one in NY and the other in NH.
As Associate Professor at Fisher College, he is currently teaching Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship and Global Human Resource Management and is also Program Director for the BS Human Resource Management degree. He is currently the Employer Relations Coordinator for Career Services assisting students in obtaining Internships and Career employment.
Dr. Roche has also held positions as an Associate Professor for New York Institute of Technology, Graduate School of Management, Center for Labor and Industrial Relations and Long Island University, School of Management teaching human resource courses. In the academic arena he has held positions of campus dean and vice-president of career services. Among the professional organizations that he belongs to are: Society for Human Resource Management, the American Compensation Association (now WorldatWork) and the American Society for Training and Development.
Jack has also earned the honor and the lifetime title of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society of Human Resource Management and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from the American Compensation Association. He has made three national presentations at the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) National Conference in Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, and Long Beach, CA. He has also made two presentations at the American Society for Training and Development national conferences in Atlanta, GA and Minneapolis, MN.
Dr. Roche has the distinction of being listed in Marquis Who's Who in America since 1994. For the past two summers, Dr. Roche taught at two universities in Germany as a guest professor: The University of Applied Labour Studies in Mannheim, Germany and the University of Applied Science in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
