Dr. Zeiger is a Professor and Program Director of Biology at Fisher College and enjoys teaching a variety of courses across the spectrum of biology and across all years of the program, from introductory to specialized upper-level courses, with an expertise in cell and molecular biology. She proposed, developed curriculum for, and currently directs the Biology Bachelor of Arts Degree and Minor, as approved by Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. Students of the program enjoy exciting and successful internships, jobs, and graduate school options.
As Program Director, Dr. Zeiger initiated and fostered relationships as well as research, educational, and career partnerships and collaborations with local major research universities including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Brandeis University, and Tufts University, as well as several local pharmaceutical and biotechnology related companies and a local patent law firm. Dr. Zeiger also initiated and hosts numerous seminar series including prestigious speakers in medical and scientific Boston and regional communities.
Dr. Zeiger's interests include researching identifying pathways for success for under-prepared and first generation undergraduate students in STEM and developing undergraduate-friendly project-based learning initiatives in biology.
