Getting Started

To make it official and enroll at Fisher, you need to follow a few key steps. Here’s a checklist to keep it simple:

Make your deposit
Make your deposit to hold your place in the class. The deposit for resident hall students is $500 or $200 for commuting students. After May 1st, your deposit for the fall semester is non-refundable. Deposits for the Spring semester are refundable until December 1st.

Complete the Financial Aid process 

If you have not received an offer of financial assistance, contact the Financial Aid Office for help with next steps. Do not hesitate to contact the office with any questions or concerns once you’ve received your offer of financial assistance.

Confirm your tuition is paid in full

Most students need to access student and/or parent loans to pay their bill in full. This process can take several weeks for credit approval. Don’t wait until the last minute to confirm payment. Confirm with both the Financial Aid Office and the Bursar that your loan or payment plan has been approved and guaranteed.

Arrange your on-campus housing

If you are planning to live on campus, fill out the Housing Agreement and Roommate Preference form.

Confirm your up-to-date health 

Make an appointment with your regular primary care physician for a complete physical. During your appointment, ask your doctor to update your immunizations to meet state regulations. Then return your completed health registration form, medical history, and immunization records to Health Services as soon as possible.

Conform your insurance information 

Complete the insurance information form during your enrollment process. All students must have health insurance. Unfortunately, Fisher College can not accept health insurance from foreign countries, out of state medicaid plans, or hospital-based community plans. If you receive health benefits from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, please be aware that you must have your own MassHealth account by the age of 19.

Registration Days

Take your placement exams, meet your advisor, and choose classes at one of five Registration Days during the summer. Students and parents should plan on attending one of these four programs prior to coming for our Orientation Program scheduled over the Move in weekend. Information about how to sign up for a Registration Day will be sent to you after the college receives your deposit.
