How to Apply for Aid

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will assess your eligibility for need-based financial assistance at Fisher College. Although the process may appear daunting, the Office of Financial Aid is available to provide support and guidance throughout this journey.

FAFSA® for the 2025-2026 Aid Year

Getting Started

Establish a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID)

Students, parents, and borrowers are required to use an FSA ID, which requires a username and password, to access certain U.S. Department of Education websites, including the FAFSA. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents. If you don't already have an FSA ID and password, you will need to create one before completing your FAFSA.

To create your FSA ID, go to studentaid.gov. Remember, both the student and the student's parent (if applicable) must each have an FSA ID.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The FAFSA is used to apply for all need based aid at Fisher College. Need-based financial aid comes from many sources including federal, state and institutional funding and can include grants, student loans and work study. To complete the FAFSA online, go to studentaid.gov and log in with your FSA ID.

To complete your FAFSA, you will use your federal tax information from the previous year. For the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year, please use your tax information from 2023. As a way to simplify and streamline this process, please utilize the IRS Data Retrieval Tool within the FAFSA which will transfer your tax information for you.

You will need the Fisher College Federal School Code: 002150

Additional Documents

Students may be asked to submit additional documentation to determine or finalize financial aid eligibility. The most common request is for a process called verification. To learn more about verification and forms, please review the Office of Financial Aid, Policies and Procedures page.
