Where Fashion Meets Business at Fisher College 

The Fashion Merchandising concentration in the Bachelor of Science Management program at Fisher College blends the art of fashion with the strategy of business management. This hands-on program offers students a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience and insights from industry professionals both inside and outside the classroom. Through field trips and industry visits, students will engage with top executives, local entrepreneurs, and leading apparel businesses in Boston’s renowned Back Bay fashion district. 

Students in this concentration will develop a strong understanding of the apparel, textile, and home furnishings industries, while also honing their creative instincts and entrepreneurial skills. The curriculum emphasizes the connection between fashion trends and business strategy, preparing students for a wide range of roles in the fashion and retail sectors. 

In addition to local opportunities, Fisher College’s travel and study abroad programs provide students with valuable cultural and visual experiences that expand their understanding of global fashion trends and practices. Whether exploring the latest in design or analyzing market strategies, the Fashion Merchandising concentration equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for success in the competitive fashion industry.

Fashion Merchandising Career Track: Launch Your Career in the Fashion and Retail Industry 

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Management with a Fashion Merchandising Concentration are well-prepared to pursue a variety of exciting career opportunities in the fashion and retail sectors. This program equips students with the skills and knowledge needed for roles such as Assistant Buyer, Visual Merchandiser, and Retail Manager.   

In addition to these foundational positions, the Fashion Merchandising Concentration prepares graduates for careers in a wide range of professional settings. Career pathways include roles in Allocation and Planning for corporate retail firms, Merchandising, Social Media Strategy, and Sales positions for Off-Price, Luxury, Beauty, and Home Furnishings retailers.    

With a blend of creative and business expertise, graduates are positioned to excel in the fast-paced and ever-evolving world of fashion retail, whether in high-end boutiques, global luxury brands, or fast-fashion enterprises.
