About the English Concentration in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts Program 

The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts program with a concentration in English at Fisher College offers students a comprehensive and well-rounded education, preparing them for both advanced academic study and a wide range of professional careers. This program equips students with critical skills in written and oral communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary study, making them highly adaptable in today's dynamic job market. 

Through the English Concentration, students will gain a deep understanding of the literary arts while developing proficiency across multiple disciplines, including the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The curriculum focuses on enhancing students' abilities in analysis, synthesis, quantitative reasoning, and effective communication. 

In addition to completing core requirements in English and mathematics, students will engage in coursework that spans history, fine arts, literature, public speaking, and interdisciplinary studies, which connect various fields such as the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. Students must complete a senior project and an internship, allowing them to apply their learning in real-world contexts and gain hands-on experience.
