BA in Early Childhood Education and Care (Online)

About the Early Childhood Education and Care Program

The Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Care program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and passion to support children and their families from birth through age eight. By connecting theory with practice, students learn to meet the academic and professional standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Through the integration of research and education, students develop expertise in implementing developmentally appropriate practices and gain the critical thinking skills needed to make informed decisions. The program emphasizes reflective thinking, empowering students to evaluate their experiences and grow as effective decision makers.

The curriculum combines core coursework in early childhood development and pedagogy with hands-on fieldwork. It highlights best practices, advocacy, and the importance of family, culture, language, and societal contexts in fostering meaningful educational experiences for young children.
