Four Concentration Options 

Communications is a broad field with applications in almost every sector. Here on our Boston campus, you can focus your study by developing specialized skills in one of four concentrations: 

  • Advertising: Explore every phase of business promotion, from account planning and creative to media buys, management, and market research. In the advertising concentration, you design multimedia advertising campaigns and prepare for a dynamic career. 

  • Journalism: Practice reporting and writing news for print, radio, television, and digital news sources. The journalism concentration focuses on the 24/7 media news cycle and the many challenges of today’s media environments. 

  • Public Relations: Cultivate the person-to-person and strategic skills necessary to create effective public relations campaigns, organize successful publicity moves, and support organizations, governments, corporations, and individuals. 

  • Video Production: Immerse yourself in the artistic and commercial aspects of digital video production, from preproduction planning to camera composition to postproduction editing and marketing materials.
