RHIA/RHIT Prep Course 

Fisher offers a professional development course for students interested in the health information field. The RHIT Examination Prep Course is held online for eight weeks  through the Graduate and Professional Studies program.

Graduates of a Bachelors level program in Health Information Management are eligible to take the RHIA certification exam prep course and graduates of an Associate Degree in Health Information Technology are eligible to take the RHIT prep course.

These online, 8-week RHIA/RHIT exam preparation course is designed as a comprehensive review of health information administration, regulations and standards in preparation for the RHIA/RHIT national credentialing examination through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Additional topics covered include test-taking tips, preparing quality resumes and cover letters, and honing job interview skills to secure employment in the healthcare industry.

Participants will be able to:

  • Apply entry-level RHIA/RHIT curriculum competencies through practice mock examinations that are focused on the examination domains.
  • Develop a study plan and apply test-taking techniques to prepare for the credential examination.
  • Create a resume and cover letter to apply for future job positions. Develop strategies to prepare for job interviews.
  • Work with a course instructor in Blackboard and Collaborate as students completing the online review

Cost: $500 and $250 to retake entire prep course
