The Common Good
The Common Good enables students to learn about current events as well as environmental and social issues, both local and global. It provides a place for students to engage in dialogue about these events and issues, and to help them understand how they effect people's everyday lives. Furthermore, the club gives students the opportunity to put this awareness, into action through service to both the local (e.g., working in a soup kitchen, neighborhood cleanups) and the global (e.g., campaigns against homelessness and hunger, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, participating in peace workshops, fundraising for earthquake relief efforts) communities. We seek all students motivated to take initiative in helping their fellow human beings and the Earth in general.
