To Bring Or Not To Bring
Here is a list of suggested items you may want to bring with you when you move into Fisher College Housing. We strongly encourage you to speak with your roommate(s) about what each of you will or will not bring. Please note the list at the bottom--these are items which are not permitted in the residence hall. Please do not bring them with you.
Recommended Residence Hall Items
- Sheets, Bedding, Pillow, Mattress Pad
- Toiletries, Towels, Washcloths
- Clothing
- Iron, Ironing Board
- Television, VCR/DVD Player
- Phone
- Stereo, Radio, CDs, Tapes
- Plastic under-the-bed storage containers
- Flashlight
- Laundry/Cleaning supplies
- Class supplies
- Computer, Office supplies
- Trash can
- First aid supplies/prescription medicines
- Room lighting (non-halogen)
- Wall decorations
- Book bag
- A plastic bucket for carrying toiletries to the shower
- Power Strips
Items which are not permitted in the residence hall
- Air Conditioners
- Alcohol
- Candles
- Drugs
- Weapons
- Halogen Lamps
- All cooking appliances including George Foreman Grills, hot pots, toasters, etc.
- Incense/Incense Burners
- Microwaves
- Extension Cords
Refrigerators bearing the U.L. - approved seal and up to, but not exceeding, 24" x 24" are permitted in student rooms. (single/double = 1 fridge/1 TV) (triple/quads = 2 fridges/2 TVs)
