Building on the foundation of your existing RN knowledge and skills, you study more in-depth areas like informatics and information literacy, healthcare economics, research, population-based health, and leadership. These competencies empower you to contribute to improved clinical practice outcomes and new care-delivery methodologies and to study at the graduate level.

You may transfer up to 90 credits for the 120-credit accelerated RN to BSN. Of the transferred credits, 36 from your RN licensure, along with up to 36 general education credits.

Practice Experiences

There are small practice-related experiences in healthcare settings embedded into the program.

Career Outlook with a BSN Degree

The healthcare industry increasingly seeks RNs who hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The BSN provides more thorough training, stronger clinical knowledge, and more varied professional experience—all elements highly valued in healthcare settings.

Advancing to a bachelor’s degree also enhances your earning potential.
