Josh Motroni Hired as New Head Women's Basketball Coach
Mr. Motroni spent the last two basketball seasons as the Head Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Belmont High School in Belmont, MA. Prior to that, he was the Head Coach at Northern Essex Community College and served as the first Assistant Coach at Emerson College in Boston from 2005-2007. Mr. Motroni helped lead the Emerson Lions from an 11-14 record to a 16-9 regular season record with a trip to the postseason.
Mr. Motroni started his coaching career as an Associate Head Coach at Brimmer & May School in Chestnut Hill, MA. From 2001-2005, Mr. Motroni helped guide the team to four consecutive conference championships and four consecutive NEPSAC Final Four appearances. The 2005 NEPSAC New England Championship was the first championship in Brimmer & May Schools' history.
Scott Dulin, Director of Athletics at Fisher College, named Mr. Motroni the new Head Women's Basketball Coach, making him the third Head Coach in the program's history. When not coaching, he is an Operations Technician for New England Sports Network (NESN). Mr. Motroni earned his Bachelor of Communications from St. Joseph's College in 1996. He resides in Woburn, MA with his wife, Marianne, and their two children, Joey and Grace.
