Fashion Student's Award Winning Dress Design to be Showcased at the French Cultural Center
Teresa Calabro was a participant and People's Choice winner in the Boston Symphony Orchestra's design event Project Debussy held on February 2nd, 2012 at Symphony Hall. Project Debussy is an annual fashion design competition that celebrates classical music and new fashion design talent. Designers were challenged to create a stand-out evening garment that combined the legacy of Debussy's musical artistry with their own individual fashion vision and style.
The French Cultural Center will host La Fashion Soiree to mark the beginning of the student fashion show season in Boston. The event will showcase the exquisite designs of local fashion students who participated in the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Project Debussy. Guests will be able to meet and mingle with up-and-coming designers from the competition. Jay Calderin, Executive Director of Boston Fashion Week, will speak about spring fashion season and its focus on student designers at the event.
Admission is $6 for students, $9 for French Cultural Center members, and $12 for non-members. RSVP is required, please call 617-912-0400 or visit www.frenchculturalcenter.org for more information.
