Faculty and staff from Fisher College recently presented highly regarded criminal justice research at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Criminology in Chicago. The research, conducted with research partners from several universities and public safety institutions, is funded by the National Institute of Justice.
On November 16, Fisher hosted its annual Honor Your Veteran's Day event. The event recognizes the service and dedication of US Veterans connected to the Fisher community.
On Friday, November 2, a group of Fisher College Criminal Justice Students toured the Boston Police Department, meeting with personnel and working on developing future collobration projects on behalf of the Center for Leadership in Public Service.
Fisher College is pleased to announce that Ramiro Torres, host of The Ramiro & Pebbles Morning Show on Boston's hip hop and hit music station Jam'n 94.5, will be a guest speaker discussing his career in radio broadcasting on November 8, 2012 from 2-3:00 pm.

On Thursday, November 15 at 6 pm, Fisher College will host the US premiere of Decoding Dacia: Romania's Lost Heritage. The documentary was launched by filmmaker and Fisher alum Nick Dimancescu '10, who tragically passed away in 2011.
Amanda Brown, Director of Development at Rock the Vote, will speak at Fisher College's Convocation Speaker Series on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 12:30pm. Ms. Brown will discuss how Rock the Vote inspires younger generations to vote and build political power in the U.S.
Esteemed journalist Cokie Roberts served as Master of Ceremonies for the "Gala 2012: Celebrating 50,000 Alumni" on October 1, 2012. Fisher College President Dr. Thomas McGovern was recognized and honored during the black-tie event held at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.
Fisher College is pleased to announce that award-winning actor and author, Tony Danza will be a guest speaker on Thursday, October 18 at 12:30pm.
Eric Stoller, higher education blogger and social media educator, will kick off Fisher's Convocation Speaker Series this Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 12:30pm. Eric will discuss the concept of establishing a digital identity through social media.
