SC141 Introduction to the Study of Disease

Prerequisite: SC 102 with a C or better or SC 130 with a C or better.

This course provides a solid foundation in the basic structural and functional changes caused by disease processes in the human body. Students will survey basic processes of pathology including causes of disease, disease processes, signs and symptoms, and the prevention and treatment, including pharmacological intervention, of representative diseases by major body systems.
