MA 191 Applied Calculus I
Prerequisite: MA 107, with a C- or better or Placement Test.
An introduction to the techniques and applications of differential calculus. Topics include a review of functions, limits, continuity, the definition of the derivative, differentiation techniques, applications of differentiation (including maximum and minimum values, curve sketching, and related rates), a review of logarithms, the derivatives of exponential and logarithmic functions and their applications. A library component is included. May not be taken for credit if MA 192 has been completed.
