HT251 Healthcare Reimbursement Methodologies
Prerequisite: HT 213, with a C or better.
The focus of this course is to provide the student with a solid understanding of the relationship and/or uses of coded and health information data to reimbursement in all healthcare settings and managed care. The course is designed to explore a variety of topics including, but not limited to, current prospective payment systems (PPS), key healthcare insurance plans, chargemaster data elements and maintenance requirements, regulatory healthcare compliance, billing practices, and revenue cycle management considerations.
