FM310 Topics in Fashion Merchandising
Prerequisites: CS 101, FM 102, FM 209, and FM 220.
Topics in Fashion Merchandising will provide the student with in-depth knowledge of important and current topics in fashion merchandising. Topics to be discussed may include, but are not limited to, gaining an international perspective and framework for managing in different legal, social, cultural and economic environments for the distribution of consumer goods worldwide. Effective management, strategic planning, marketing, operations, human resources, and financial management across borders will be examined. The increasing influence of electronic commerce and the impact of culture on planning, organizing, leading and controlling will be considered through case study and simulation.
