CJ 334 White Collar Crime
Prerequisite: SO 105 Criminology or Permission of the Program Director
This course explores corporate and white collar offending by examining theoretical perspectives and criminal justice system responses. The course will define white collar and corporate crime and explore the various behaviors that fall into this broad category of offenses. The course will explore the nature and extent of white collar offenses, methods of measuring white collar offenses and methods of detection, adjudication, and sentencing; additionally, the course will examine political and social factors that restrict these criminal offenses and allow them to flourish.
