Types of Courses Offered

Classroom Courses

Traditional classroom courses are available at the Boston, Brockton, New Bedford, and North Attleborough locations. Courses run for eight weeks and classes meet twice per week. Students receive a high degree of professor/student interaction and personalized attention.

Internships

Internships must be registered three weeks prior to the beginning of the next term. When planning to do your internship, please contact your Site Coordinator for a review of your progress within your degree/certificate program and of any necessary requirements that may be related to your specific type of internship. Health Information Technology and Medical Coding Certificate students must contact the HIT/MCC Site Coordinator 8 weeks prior to beginning their internship.

Online Courses

Online courses are offered through the Internet, using the widely accepted and user-friendly learning system Blackboard(R). Courses are eight weeks long and require no campus class meetings to complete.

Blended courses
Blended courses are a unique and exciting method of attending and completing individual courses as well as complete degrees at Fisher College. Courses integrate a combination of in classroom and online education. Depending on the Instructor and course requirements, the amount of time spent in a classroom versus online varies for each course. Classroom attendance are clearly posted on the schedules at each campus prior to classes each term.

 

Non-Credit Courses for Professional and Personal Development

Fisher College offers a variety of low-cost, professional, career and personal development courses through our partnership with Ed2Go. Education to Go (Ed2Go) offers non-credit instructor-facilitated online courses in subjects ranging from art to personal finance to computer technology. While Fisher College Online offers credit-based courses from an accredited college, Ed2Go classes are for personal and financial growth.
