Fisher College Baseball Coaches
Head Coach: Scott Dulin (9th year) Head Coach Scott Dulin is entering his ninth year at Fisher College as the Director of Athletics and Head Baseball Coach. Dulin has been at the helm of the Fisher College Department of Athletics since its inception in 2001. For the past six seasons (2004-2009), Dulin has been named the Sunrise Conference Baseball Coach of the Year. Additionally, he has been named the NAIA Region X Baseball Coach of the Year for five consecutive seasons (2004-2008), and was named the 2007 recipient of the NAIA Region X Coach of Character Award. In 2004 and 2005, Dulin was named the Sunrise Conference Athletic Director of the Year, and was inducted into the 2005 Fisher College Hall of Fame class. Coach Dulin has coached numerous All Conference and All Region Players, three Rookies of the Year, two Players of the Year, and has seen one of his players receive a professional contract. During the 2008 season, Coach Dulin reached 200 career wins. Before beginning the Baseball program at Fisher College, Dulin was the head coach at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy for two years. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach at his alma matta University of Maine at Farmington. Coach Dulin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UMF, where he was a 4 year starter in the infield and a two time captain. In 2004, Coach Dulin served as a Major League Baseball Envoy to Costa Rica. Coach Dulin also holds the position of President for the Sunrise Conference.
Bench Coach: Bill Englehardt (5th Year)
Coach Englehardt is entering his 5th year as an Assistant Coach for the Falcons. He served as the bullpen coach in his first season (2006) and was promoted to Bench Coach prior to the start of the 2008 campaign. Coach Englehardt plays a major role in fundraising for Fisher College Athletics.
Pitching Coach: John Trask (4th Year)
Coach Trask has been the program's pitching coach for the past three seasons and will continue to serve in that role for 2009. In his first season, the Falcons Pitching Staff had the nation's fourth best ERA (Earned Run Average, 3.02) out of 192 NAIA schools. During the 2007 season, the Fisher College staff played a string of 11 consective games without allowing an earned run. During the summer months Coach Trask is the Head Coach for the Haverhill Legion Post 4 team in Haverhill, MA.
Assistant Coach: Jose Diaz (2nd Year)
A native of Boston, MA, Diaz joined the Fisher family in 2008. As a senior at Fisher, he hit .321 with two home runs and 26 RBI's. He is the only member of the coaching staff to be a part of the NAIA World Series. Diaz originally resided in Lewiston, Idaho as a member of the 2007 Cumberland University Baseball team. Prior to Cumberland, Diaz spent two years at North Florida Community College, where he was a captain in his final year. Diaz graduated from West Roxbury (MA) High School where he played four years of varsity baseball and was the catcher for current Major League Red Sox Pitcher Manny Delcarmen. Diaz will spend the majority of his time leading the team in conditioning, coaching first base, and recruiting future student athletes.
Assistant Coach: Tom Englehardt (1st Year)
Tom joins the Coaching staff this year after a very successful four year career at Fisher. A three time Sunrise Conference Player of the Year, Tom hit his way into the Fisher record books. His career batting average is .451; including hitting .496 his junior year. He was named to the Sunrise Conference team all four years and was also named a NAIA Pre-Season All American in his senior year. Tom will pass along his knowledge of the game to the team as he has been named Hitting Coach for the 2010 season.
A graduate of Haverhill High School, 2005, Tom now resides in Malden, MA and is currently an admissions counselor here at Fisher College.
