Merit Scholarships
Fisher Honors Program Scholarship (Day Division only)
The Honors Program Scholarship awards $5000 to those students accepted into Fisher College's Honor Program. The Fisher Honors Program Scholarship is renewable each year, as long as the student remains in good standing with the Honors Program.
A DCE Merit Scholarship is also available for $100/course for qualifying students in the Division of Continuing Education (DCE).
Scholarship Renewal
Scholarships are renewed annually as long as the student is attending classes as a full-time student and maintains the cumulative grade point average required for the scholarship.
Grade point averages (GPA) are reviewed at the end of the Spring semester. Students whose cumulative GPA falls below the required standard are allowed one academic semester of probation in the following academic year to regain eligibility. During the probation semester, the student will receive the scholarship.
If the student fails to attain the required GPA after the probationary semester, the scholarship will be cancelled. The student may regain the scholarship by bringing his/her cumulative GPA above the required standard. Students are only eligible for one probationary period.
Appeal Process
Students who lose their scholarship for academic or other reasons can submit an appeal in writing to their financial aid counselor, explaining the special circumstances to be considered. Appeals will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Scholarship Appeals Committee. All decisions are final.
