Dr. Turi-Markovi? came to Fisher College in 2009, and has taught a variety of courses in Psychology and Human Services. Prior to coming to Fisher College, she worked as a clinician at several hospitals and college counseling centers. Dr. Turi-Markovi?’s clinical and research interests are in the areas of multiculturalism, acculturation, interpersonal and social interactions, and mind/body, health psychology. Research interests also include social media, and anxiety and mood disorders.
Much of my teaching style is based on my belief that students learn best
when there is a focus on active learning and critical thinking.
Therefore, my clinical experiences are invaluable in the classroom as it
provides me with the ability to apply the material being taught. I use
examples, and my personal experiences to help students grasp the
information, and most importantly make connections between the text and
