I joined the faculty of Fisher College in the fall of 1997. Prior to that time, I was in Student Affairs at Simmons College for almost twenty years and spent a brief time as the Academic Director for the Boston Language Institute. During my time at Fisher, I have served in many teaching and administrative capacities including Director of ESL Programs, Director of the Women's Resource Center, Chair of the Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and, most importantly to me, Associate Professor of English and Women's Studies.

My academic background includes work in English Composition and Literature as well as Gender Studies. The great thing about my appointment at Fisher College is that in addition to teaching Composition and Literature courses, I have the opportunity to teach about women's experiences across a wide array of disciplines including Gender Studies, History, Sociology, and Psychology. Given this virtual candy store of academic choices, I am never bored or (I trust) boring since each semester brings a new and exciting courseload, new students, and new avenues of discovery.
