I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Records Administration from Ithaca College in New York. Throughout my 20+ years in the health information profession, I have worked as a Manager, Associate Director, and Director of HIM Departments in community hospitals as well as large urban hospitals in the U.S. and Australia.
I love to share my knowledge of the Health Information Management profession with students, my future colleagues. My love of teaching is also a love of learning. With the constant regulatory, technological and legislative changes in the HIM field, HIT faculty keep current in all aspects of the profession. It is important to note that all of the HIT Faculty and Adjunct Faculty hold at least one AHIMA credential.
