Joshua McKain joined Fisher College's faculty, launching his professional career as College Librarian in September 1996, after doing a short stint as a part-time Reference Librarian at Bridgewater State College. As a generalist, he enjoys the opportunity that Fisher affords to track down information on a plethora of topics and to wear many hats. Joshua received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in English, from The College of Wooster in 1990. Upon graduation, he accepted a job as associate teacher of second grade at Wilmington Friends School, at which he also coached middle school and high school sports teams for two years. In 1995, he earned a Master of Education with an emphasis in English and Language Arts from Widener University and, in 1996, was awarded a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. Born and raised in southeastern Connecticut, Joshua graduated from Phillips Academy (Andover). He enjoys playing tennis, ping pong, basketball and, as a lover of words, he also relishes the opportunity to play Scrabble and Boggle with anyone who wants to play.
