Meet Our Students
Delia Brimmer-Management with a concentration in Accounting
I chose to attend Fisher College because I wanted to be part of a small college community while also being located in the city. Growing up in the small town of Simsbury, Connecticut, I was excited to attend college in Boston. When I first visited Fisher, I was surprised by its location. The area is beautiful, safe, and not more than a few blocks from anything I could ever need.
During my freshman year, I quickly realized that I was fully supported by the faculty and staff at Fisher and that they wanted me to succeed. Many people have been helpful to me along the way; however, Professor Janet Kuser has been especially inspirational. Now the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Ms. Kuser taught my freshman Common Experience class. I learned a lot from her and she was creative in her outings – once, we went to listen to the CEO of Zappos speak. Although she no longer teaches many classes, I still have a relationship with her and am able to go to her for help. She is always willing to give her opinion or lend a hand.
The advice I give to future students is to get involved! There are so many opportunities available here at Fisher, and taking advantage of them will really make your experience great. Joining the soccer team my freshman year was the best decision I could have
made. The experience of traveling and the support of my teammates and coaches has been amazing. I am also a member of the Honors Program, Drama Club, and Student Government Association. I have been a Resident Assistant for the past two years and have enjoyed working with students and planning programs. Additionally, I traveled to Macon, GA last spring to participate in Habitat for Humanity with a group of Fisher students.
Attending Fisher College has been an amazing experience full of opportunity. I have made many great memories here, memories I would not have been able to make anywhere else. I am glad I chose Fisher for my education.
