The Future of College 101
College 101 sets students on a path towards completing their degree and becoming the leaders of the new Boston. Fisher College believes that College 101 has the potential to develop into a model for citywide high school-higher education partnerships.
The philanthropic support of State Street Foundation and Citizens Bank Foundation has allowed College 101 to mature and enter the next phase of development:
(1) Serve more students each summer and secure more dual enrollees each semester.
(2) Develop comprehensive assessment tools, including longitudinal outcomes such as college matriculation, retention, and graduation.
(3) Create new summer courses.
(4) Foster connections between college and high school students through service-learning.
(5) Intensify academic, career, and financial counseling for students and their families.
(6) Strengthen high schools' capacity to deliver college-readiness curricula.
