Academics
It has been the tradition of Fisher College to serve the educational needs of different populations. In its Day Division, Fisher offers bachelor's degrees as well as career and transfer programs in a small college setting. This division actively seeks a diverse student population reflecting a cross section of American and international cultures.
The Division of Continuing Education offers degree and certificate programs both electronically and at locations in eastern Massachusetts to a broad spectrum of learners as well as to business and industry through courses, seminars, workshops, and training sessions.
The Day Division academic year is divided into two semesters. The DCE and Online Divisions academic year is divided into six terms of approximately 8 weeks. At the end of each term grades are mailed to the student and become a permanent part of the student's academic record.
All credits awarded are Semester Hours of credit. Regardless of the length of the term, a standard number of contact hours is maintained.
