David LindbergEducation: BA in Communications with a minor in English Literature from Colby-Sawyer College in December of 2001

Professional Experience: Following graduation from Colby-Sawyer College I accepted an internship in the Media Relations department of the San Antonio Spurs. In that time I researched, edited, and wrote materials for newspapers, web-sites and team materials. I also helped with player appearances and game night functions. While in San Antonio I had the chance to work with the Spurs Drug-Free Basketball League (a youth program for Inner City Teens) as a Coach. Once I returned to Maine I accepted an Admissions position at Andover College in Portland, Maine. I've been at Fisher since May and feel that it is one of the best moves that I could have made. At the college I work as an Assistant Director of Admissions as well as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach.

Personal: I live in Somerville with my long time girlfriend Tina. Some of my hobbies include surfing, listening to good music and watching TV (Sports and Classic Sitcoms). Both Tina and I enjoy spending as much time as possible with our families and that explains why we are currently living in New England.

What I like about Fisher: The thing that I enjoy most about working at Fisher College is that I feel like I am making a difference in peoples lives. At a small college with such a diverse student body, every thing that you do matters. Growing up in Maine and Colorado I have never been surrounded with such diversity. I really like this. Also, I am really enjoying the opportunity to coach basketball. Finally, I love the people that I work with.

Future goals: I would like to continue to develop professionally with a focus on the Admissions field. Also, I would like to help to develop the Basketball program at the college. With a strong athletic program I feel that we can strengthen the quality of our student body.
