FISHER ONLINE RANKED #5 IN NATION
Online Education Database Recognizes College's Program on Several Metrics
BOSTON - Further affirming its success in online education, Fisher College's Online program was ranked fifth in the nation by Online Education Database (OEDb).
"Online
learning unites the College's willingness to innovate with its commitment
to student-centered education," said Fisher College President Charles C.
Perkins. "The Fisher College community is proud that our Division of Continuing
Education earned this recognition, and we will continue to expand our online
offerings in order to serve more students looking to add educational credentials
to their rich personal and professional experiences."
The Web site for Online Education Database (www.oedb.org) states, "To our knowledge, these online college rankings are the first of their kind." OEDb ranked institutions based on eight criteria. On those metrics, Fisher Online was ranked:
Fisher College's Division of Continuing Education launched one of the first online distance learning programs as a means to further realize its mission of serving as a point-of-access to students of all ages. Offering a "higher degree of convenience," the College's Boston, New Bedford, and North Attleboro campuses provide physical bearing to the virtual classrooms.
"While the classrooms of Fisher Online may be virtual, there are tangible advantages to a Fisher College degree, which is why women, adult learners, and non-traditional students are attracted to our programs," said Janet Harrington, Vice President for Continuing and Distance Education Operations. "The online degree program is a powerful, affordable, and flexible mode of learning that enables and inspires."
Fisher College students may earn a Bachelor's of Science in Management with concentrations in Health Care, Human Resources, and Marketing.
