How do online courses work?

Online courses at Fisher College are held completely online through Blackboard®, our online learning management system. As a student, you access and complete all your work in an online setting whenever and wherever it is most convenient for you.

Is prior computer experience necessary to enroll in an online course?

Yes. A working knowledge of computers and web applications is necessary to enroll in an online class. Online students should:

*If your computer breaks or your Internet connectivity is disrupted in a course, it is up to you to access another computer to complete your work. It is not an excuse to drop your course and get a refund. Your courses are totally online, and you may enter and do your work on ANY computer that is connected to the web. In an emergency, you may use a local library, a friend's computer or an available computer at Fisher College or another educational institution.

What Will I Need To Take An Online Course?
