Fisher College Men's Basketball Coaches

Head Coach: David Lindberg (4th year)

David Lindberg is entering his fourth season with the Fisher College Men's Basketball program. As a coach, he works to establish a defense-based system built around "character" players. In his first three seasons, Lindberg has guided the Falcons to two Sunrise Conference Championships and back-to-back trips to the NAIA National Tournament. Lindberg began his college coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Fisher College before taking over the program half way through the 2005-06 campaign. Through his first three seasons he has led the Falcons to an overall record of 36-43. (.456)

During his three years at the helm Lindberg has had the opportunity to coach one Sunrise Conference Most Valuable Player, three First Team Sunrise Conference players, one Second Team Sunrise Conference player, as well as a Sunrise Conference Rookie of the year.

Coach Lindberg came to Fisher from Andover College, and prior to that, from the San Antonio Spurs of the NBA as a Media Relations intern with Spurs. While in San Antonio Lindberg also had the opportunity to coach in the Spurs Drug-Free Basketball League, a youth program for inner city teenagers.

A native of Ellsworth, Maine, Lindberg has been around the game all of his life as his father, Bruce Lindberg, was a 4-time Maine State Coach of the Year. After a post-graduate year at New Hampton Prep, Lindberg attended Norwich University and was a member of the Basketball team. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in English Literature from Colby-Sawyer College. Coach Lindberg also serves as the Assistant Director of Admissions and resides in Lynn, Massachusetts with his wife Tina.


Assistant Coach/ JV Head Coach: Steven Perry '06 (3rd year)

Steven Perry is entering his third season as a member of Lindberg's staff, following a successful career with the Falcons. The Staten Island, NY native finished his playing career as a two-time First Team Sunrise Conference player, while leading Fisher College to its first two Conference Championships. Perry currently sits at the #3 position on the All-Time Scoring list, being the second player in the College's history to surpass the 1000 point plateau.

Steven has been selected to be the first Junior Varsity Coach at Fisher College due to his knack for relating with younger players, his intensity in a practice setting, as well as his recent playing experience.

In addition to his Junior Varsity duties, Coach Perry contributes to game preparation, recruiting, tape exchange, as well as practice planning. He currently resides in Boston, MA.

Assistant Coach: Jovan Holland '08 (2nd year)

Jovan Holland is entering his second season as an assistant coach. The Lynn, MA native played four seasons at Fisher College, following a successful career at Lynn Tech which included back-to-back State Championships.

Coach Holland won three Sunrise Championships while at Fisher College and was a captain during his senior campaign. He works primarily with post players, while also assisting with the film exchange program and day to day functions in the Basketball office.

Holland graduated from Fisher College with a B.S. in Management in 2008. Currently Coach Holland works for the Boston Red Sox as a Fenway Ambassador.

Assistant Coach: Kevin Anderson (1st year)

Coach Kevin Anderson starts his first year with Fisher College after spending years as an Assistant Coach at Lowell Catholic High School, based in Lowell MA. A Tewksbury, MA native, Anderson received his Bachelors of Arts degree in English from North Adams State College, North Adams, MA

Anderson will bring an extensive background working with younger players and will be one of the keys to helping younger players make the transition from high school to college basketball. Anderson will bring his network of local high school coaches to Fisher with hopes of attracting local players to Fisher College.

Coach Anderson works for Lantheus Medical Imaging and has been married for 25 years. Anderson's daughter Kelly is a 2008 graduate of Fisher College.
