At Fisher College we believe that athletics can develop the qualities needed to succeed beyond sport and into life itself. As an institution, we take pride in the successes of our student-athletes on the field, in the classroom and in the community. The Department of Athletics offers six varsity sports for intercollegiate competition. Our Women's Basketball, Men's Basketball, Soccer, Softball, and Baseball teams are affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Division II as part of the Sunrise Conference.
- Fisher College competes locally, regionally, and nationally against high-caliber institutions.
- Our Men's Basketball team has captured three straight Sunrise Conference Championships and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament.
- The 2005, 2006, and 2007 Baseball teams won the Sunrise Conference and Region X Titles to place them in the NAIA Super-Regional Tournaments. The 2006 team was ranked 25th in the nation.
- Over the past three seasons, individual and team accolades include 44 All-Conference Players, 7 Conference Rookies of the Year, 6 Conference Coach of the Year Awards, 5 Conference Players of the Year, 3 Team Sportsmanship Awards, and a Coach of Character Award.
Students interested in participating in our any of our six varsity sports should call the Athletics Office or fill out our Recruiting Form. Coaches are available at various times to talk and meet with prospective players. The Department of Athletics pairs with Student Activities to create additional opportunities for students to attend professional sporting events around the city including the Bruins, Red Sox, and Celtics. Boston is a legendary sports town; with three professional teams only steps away from our campus. So whether you want to watch or participate in sports, there's always an activity waiting for you at Fisher.
