The Fisher College Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) upholds the mission of the College by helping students become independent learners, critical thinkers and successful students. ACE strives to achieve these goals by offering students professional tutoring and advising. The services ACE provides are free to all Fisher students. It is located in 131 and 133 Beacon Street.
Professional
Tutoring: ACE is staffed with 15-20 professional tutors who have
earned their Master's degrees or have professional experience in the areas
they tutor. They assist students with all aspects of the learning process
including organizational and study skills. They are also experienced with
identifying the root of students' academic difficulties and giving students
the tools that they need to become independent learners. Students are encouraged
to make appointments with tutors, and some take advantage of the service
by making a weekly appointment with the same tutor, developing a sound
relationship throughout the semester.
Tutoring appointments are available from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday; and from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings. You can reach Karen Myers, the Director of the tutoring program, at 617-236-5468 or by e-mail at kmyers@fisher.edu.
