Harvard Professor Thomas Nichols Leads Discussion During MBA Speaker Series

Five-Time Jeopardy! Champion Discusses New Book, “The Death of Expertise”

BOSTON, MA: Fisher College School of Graduate Studies was pleased to invite author Dr. Thomas M. Nichols, to speak as part of the MBA Lecture Series. Nichols is a professor of National Security Affairs at the U.S. Naval War College, professor at the Harvard Extension School and author of “The Death of Expertise: The Campaign against Established Knowledge and Why it Matters”.

Students and community members filled the room to capacity, engaging with Dr. Nichols as he explained the future of academics. Likewise, Dr. Nichols gave his opinions of online discussions through social media, and discussed topics brought up within the audience. Dr. Nichols holds a PhD from Georgetown, an MA from Columbia University, and a BA from Boston University. Nichols is also a five time undefeated Jeopardy! Champion, and is noted in the Jeopardy! Hall of Fame.

Dr. Nichols lecture was held on Thursday, February 8th in the Trustees Reading Room located 118 Beacon Street. Members of Fisher faculty, staff, students and community neighbors were in attendance.
