Boston, Ma. – Fisher College is proud to announce today a new advertising/marketing campaign featuring Boston Marathon heroes Carlos Arredondo and Jeff Bauman. Both recently served as distinguished commencement speakers at Fisher College’s 110th Commencement Ceremony.
The advertising campaign, which will run on the MBTA beginning Monday, June 9, 2014, will feature quotes from the commencement address and photos of Arredondo and Bauman receiving honorary degrees from Fisher College.
Posters with Bauman’s photo will feature the following quote from his commencement address: “Today, you are at the finish line of one race, but life is full of starting lines and heartbreak hills. You just have to keep running forward.” The message to potential students is to "Keep your education moving forward." The Bauman advertisements will be targeted to prospective Fisher College day students.
Posters with Arredondo’s photo will promote Fisher College’s Division of Accelerated and Professional Studies (DAPS) to continuing education students. The campaign will highlight the following quote from Arredondo’s commencement speech: “You have the opportunity to change the world with your education.”
“The humble words of these real life heroes truly resonated with our graduating students and faculty,” said Dr. Thomas M. McGovern, president of Fisher College. “We wanted to share their messages of perseverance and impacting one’s community and world through education with others.”
The terms of the marketing deal with Arredondo and Bauman were not disclosed. The marathon heroes advertising campaign runs for eight weeks and can be seen on the Orange and Red Lines and MBTA platforms at Arlington, Copley, MGH, and Back Bay stations.
