Renowned National Security Expert Joins Fisher College

Shoe Bomber Investigator & Gardner Heist Sleuth to Teach New Criminal Justice Course

Boston, MA – Fisher College is proud to announce today that Anthony Amore, a world renowned security expert, will teach a special topics course in the Criminal Justice department beginning in January 2014.

The spring semester course, Contemporary Topics in Criminal Justice, will focus on topics related to national security. Mr. Amore has been the Director of Security at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts since 2005. For the past seven years, Mr. Amore has also served as the museum's chief investigator into the 1990 theft of 13 priceless works of art from that museum.
 
Prior to joining the Gardner Museum, Amore was an Assistant Federal Security Director with the Transportation Security Administration, where he worked to rebuild security at Logan International Airport after the attacks of 9/11. He has also served as a Special Agent with the Federal Aviation Administration, where he was the lead agent responding to the Richard Reid "Shoebomber" attack. Amore serves as trustee of the Association for Research into Crimes against Art and lectures widely on art crime. He is also the principal owner of Boston Security Associates, a security consulting firm, and is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post and has appeared as a guest on several network television programs.

Anthony Amore is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
